Vim - how to set line/column numer indication?

When using Vim 6.3.71 on Fedora Core 4, how does one enable it so
that the active line and column numbers are shown in the lower
right corner of the edit window? I couldn't find any mention of
how to do that in the Vim documentation... TIA.
