Worth for you to check up is the following

Found it!!! I ended up booting into Winblows - argh! - and installing via
the CD install and it created LMAAB1P1.PPD along with a bunch of other
"driver" files. I then copied this file to my Linux partition at
/etc/cups/ppd/, renamed the foomatic default "generic postscript printer"
PPD file (<printername>.ppd) to something else, and renamed LMAAB1P1.PPD to
<printername>.ppd, & now seems to work great! Anyway, since I could not
find this file ANYWHERE on the web, or on the driver CD (must be buried in
some exploding Windows binary) OR on Lexmark's ftp site or website AND
Lexmark linux tech support was USELESS - they didn't even know what a PPD
file was, I POSTED it on MY WEBSITE: (http://home.mesh.net/turnerjw/jim/),
for anyone else that may want it and NOT wish to install or boot into
Windows! The copyright sais that it is freely didtributable as long as it
is not altered (& I did not alter it). After a few more tests and tweeks,
I'll post a howto so that this printer can be added to the LinudPrinting
   database.

I hope that will help you to single boot... I do think you should look into
LVM too, for 160G will easily be filled with a lot of junk and you may want to
just add another hard drive and increase your slices sizes.
