Can I get kernel support for reading and writing to a FAT partitioned
usb memstick? Kernel is 2.4.14-18 Red Hat version 8.0. A web site
detailed a procedure that includes adding a line to fstab:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/usbstick vfat user,noauto,umask=0 0 0
After following all the other instructions, I inserted the memory stick
into the usb port. System froze. No mouse, no keyboard.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ed.
