Buying P4 Motherboard and CPU

I'm thinking of buying P4 motherboard, and I have decided to buy Asus
        P4P800-VM. It's very good for my Micro ATX desktop. (see the link for
more info).

According to it only support "Maximum Cache Supported 512 KB", and it
has 256kb of level 2 Cache. I wanna use this with Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
which comes with L2 1 MB.

Do you think it will be okay to use it with a cpu with 1MB cache?
