suse/linspire

Sometime ago I got a lifetime of software/updates from Linspire. However,
at the time they did not support dialup DSL. So, I continued to run SuSE.
Checked Linspire out the other day and "Behold!" they now support my
dialup. The problem was that I installed Linspire on /hdb and had SuSe
10.0 on /hda. Suse was not happy about running because of a change in
configuration, so I did a repair on SuSe, which naturally resulted in the
bootloader being rewritten. Problem is that I cannot boot Linspire now.
SuSe loaded it as and "Other" OS and put nothing on the chainloader except
"/dev/hdb1." I added an item on the chain loader and specified that it was
to load an image from /hdb1 and the rest of the info.
I get a potload of errors but it does come up in a non-GUI mode. I can log
in as root and take a look at what is there, but cannot startx. It says it
cannot find the Nvidia drivers. I realize that is probably a "path"
problem, but and quickly getting out of my depth here.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Deb
