Experience/suggestion for Router/Firewall and VoIP/SIP server for home use...

Hi
I'm thinking of setting up an home network whit a Linux Router/Firewall and
a VoIP/SIP server over ADSL.

ADSL
|
Router/Firewall (Linux)--- VoIP/SIP (Linux)---- Phone (line or BT)
|
Switch
| | | |
PC's (Win)

I have had some small experience whit Linux (Mandrake, SuSE, Dragon...),
mostly pleasant. The reason for windows on the workstations is that the
application runs under windows.

- I have a static IP to Internet.

- I want to be able to use more than one VoIP/SIP service.

- Boot up both the Router/Firewall and VoIP/SIP server from floppy, CD or
maybe an USB stick (disk less).

- If possible, able to upload config/IP-list to the Router/Firewall and
VoIP/SIP server from PC (Win) and make config change over an HTML interface.

Guess that I need some form of traffic shaping or QoS for the VoIP/SIP to
limit the delay in communication, I know that I have a limited control over
the delay from the net so I think that I have to aim most of the work to not
fill up the buffers in the ADSL modem and giving enough bandwidth to the
VoIP/SIP server.

Has anyone done this? Most likely ;-)

I need suggestions on minimum hardware, suggestions for an easy and
configurable Linux Router/Firewall software and also for Linux VoIP/SIP
software.

Experience, good or bad.

Anything is welcome.

Thanks...
