Good question. Here's the answer: I choose my response style on a
case by case basis. I generally don't top post because it usually
makes sense not to for readability reasons. In some cases, like
earlier in this thread, it seems neater and easier for both parties
for me to top post. I only apologised for the occasional stickler for
whom the rules mean everything.
