Thanks to all and one more question

Thanks to all who replied to my "which Linux distro is best for me" post. I
will be busy with research for days, if not months.

My "one more question" is this: how easy is it to learn Linux these days?

In the bad old days, Linux overwhelmed me, and I dashed back to the comfort
(and bloat and expense) of Windows. For example, none of my half dozen Linux
live distros could connect to the Internet.
