I am using Cygwin under Windows XP Pro. I have KDE installed and I can

Any help would be appreciated.

Cygwin is not Linux (and it would be very strange if there was a cygwin port
to Linux) and KDE is not Linux specific. If your news server carries gmane
groups, there may be cyqwin groups there that could get you more help.
Another source would be the Cygwin mailing list @
http://cygwin.com/lists.html
Otherwise, good luck.
