not even for microsoft windows.

One option would be to export things as postscript in MSP and then import
those in Scribus (www.scribus.com) and continue the work there.

There are people who has managed to run MSP with wine/corssoffice/win4lin,
so you could try it out yourself if you can't leave MSP behind you.

It was not that I could not leave it behind, but that the local copy
establishment needed the file in ".pub" format.

Thanks, for the advise, I had not thought of exporting as a postscript file.
But that would have satisfied my copy shop's needs anyway.
