I tried running LINUX Live from DVD; Fedora,Tao live and a few others directly from the DVD. Looked thru the user pdfs on DVD but didn't find info on SU or logging in as root. The Dell notebook's(Inspiron 9200) wireless interface Centrino (IW2200) never seems to be detected. I have to run the iwconfig command to activate the wireless interface, but SU authority is needed! I don't have the password. Anyone with default password would be appreciated.

Do a passwd and use that password.
