Re: Max ram for linux?

Arty :

I am purchasing a new linux server, and cannot seem to find on
kernel.org how much memory the linux kernel can support.

Please note i'm not running a box with a full gig or ram, and wornder
if it can use it all. The server i'm building will have 32-64GB or
ram.

To answer your next two questions.
1. Yes i am aware that 64GB or ram is in most cases overkill. In my
case it is not.

The stock linux kernel has a configuration option to support 1, 4, or 64
Gb of ram, so it appears that isn't a problem.
