I am about to restore a friend's computer from Linux to windows (sorry
I know this makes your skin crawl) anyway, is there any information I
need to know about documents, file structures on hard drives, etc...
to ensure that her data will be safe and usable... any tips or
websites you can give me would be appreciated... thanks.

If you want to copy across things like bookmark files, it is probably
easier to use
the applications import/export rather than locate the real file.
