See the link above, on the top right there is nice table showing info
about the computer? What's it name?
Thanks a bunch :)
Thats conky. Look here for more screenshothttp://conky.sourceforge.net.Interesting. I read this post and DL'd it and its quite nice.
A couple of bugs tho - update interval in .conkyrc doesnt have any affect,
its always 5 seconds, workaround -u option at startup
conkey needs to run as root so ordinary user cant start it
I dont see a way to turn off MPD so mine says its not responding whatever
MPD is - Media display of some sort, dont know?
I edited the source to get rid of those incorrect MiB and KiB designators
and made them MB and KB as they should be. Its in conkey.c if anyone else
cares to fix that.
One last item - it only shows one cpu on a 2 cpu box, i assume thats
combined usage, i would prefer to see individual cpu's. Maybe i can set
that up (option? minor code change?) but i need to dig around and see if
that can be done.
Another option is to use GKrellM2, don't have to be root to run, shows
the right amount of CPUs/Cores and has a good number of plug-ins and themes.
Yes, but this is way better :) I would like to know what kinda stuff
you'd put in a conky configuration.
