I have not been able to discover that number with any combination of

Would any of you gentlemen be able to point me to a source for a
reasonably reliable estimate?

Thanks in advance.

Thirteen that I know of personllay. Really - there are no 'reliable'
statistics - how could there be?

You can be sure Microsoft will downplay any statistics they fine on Linux.

What do you count as a user? someone who computer has Linux installed or
someone who logs in and uses the resources of a linux based system? Do you
count TomTom device users and the like?

My guess would be 42 :-)
