Firefox sound - oh dear ...

Hello,

Trying to add with synaptic package manager a type of "mplayer" for firefox.
Oh dear, dependencies all over the place, and all of them miss something:

mplayer: mplayer:
Depends: libggi2 (>=1:2.0.5) but it is not installable

@!#$%@#$^!!

Any suggestions for an open source non Microsoft add on for (xubuntu 6) firefox?
