azureus and vlc player

I am using azureus for torrents download, and it works very good. Last
week I deleted my azureus, and installed a new version. In my last
version, I was able to click on .avi or mpg file, and it will open vlc
player, and play it. This new version is not doing that. How do I fix
this?

Also in my vlc there seems to be two "hot keysetting". Fullscreen
hotkeys are different from mini screen. How do I fix them, and change
them to be more like mplayer hotkeys?
