can someone be so kind as to tell me how to install on Fedora Core 6 the

wget

libssl.so.5
i'm still quite a noob and am trying but I just cant seem to get those
installed correctly to work.
any help is much appreciated.
Read the man and info files on yum: Type 'man yum' and 'info yum' in a
terminal. Yum (Yellowdog Updater Modifier) is used for installing and
uninstalling all software, system or otherwise, in Fedora. if the man or
info files are not fully understandable, this link should help:
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/yum/
Example, as root, type in a terminal
yum install wget
and if your repositories are set up correctly, yum will install the
latest version of wget, AND take care of all the dependencies, if there
are any.
To make things easier, there is a GUI interface for yum, Yum Extender.
To install it:
yum install yumex
as root, of course.
