Hi All
I'm trying to input Japanese on my Fedora 7 set-up.
I have installed scim and everything it looks like needing, and it appears
to be running fine I can click on buttons or use the mouse to draw kana but
they don't go anywhere. How do I actually get the Japanese text from scim
into where I want it?
Canna has been used for Japanese input in earlier RedHat releases and I
suggest you try that one, as it should be easier to integrate.
As you don't get the text from scim to the application you are using indicates
that you are using the wrong button to tell that you are finished with your
typing of the word. Check the scim documentation.
Also when I draw anything, for example ヽ, I get several suggestions but
nothing remotely like what I wanted.
Either the character isn't located there or you are using an input type that
you aren't used to, check your scim settings that you have the right input method.
I have a pen and small tablet that I use under windows, anything like this
for Linux? (and no it wont run under WINE, I did try)
It depends on the brand/model of your device, there is at the moment a limited
number supported in the kernel, but you may find others that hasn't been merge
into the kernel yet.
