I am going to buy a laptop in near future. As you can imagine I am a

Yesterday, I went to a computer retail store, and I was going to buy
Toshiba Laptop Dual Core. Salesman told me that laptop doesn't come with
operating sytem nor driver! I would need to be an extera $100 dollar for
it.
Tell him to stuff the $100 - you're going to run Linux on it, you don't
need or want all that crap.
I have never a bought a readymade computer. I always assume built
computer comes with CD drivers, and all the software and operating
system installed in it.
Am I wrong?
Yes, you are wrong. A couple of years ago I purchased a (used) Gateway
laptop with no OS on it so I could install Linux. You don't need the CD
drivers unless you're going to install MS - and even then, you can
generally find and download the ones you need from the internet. I have
also purchased a few 'bare bones' systems - i.e. incomplete to one degree
or another - generally they have no memory and no hard drive and may or
may not have a CPU. You can usually get an OEM copy of MS with it if you
are so inclined, or with nothing - those often come with driver CDs,
though.
PS: I was going to buy Toshiba Laptop; this is the link
