Re: I give up trying to write iso file :(

I give up.

I have wasted 6 disks trying to create a Linux disk.

I have 4 different popular Linux versions iso files.

A) I right click any of them and the option for Roxio to write it to disk pops up.

I select start and it writes only 10% and then it stops and does nothing.

The computer is new and the drive works fine.

B) I tried to 'create a project' and selected to make a bootable disk.

It wrote the disk.

I restart. My bios is set to read the DVD drive D: first on startup.

I get a black screen and a blinking cursor and nothing else.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Download a program called Burn4Free from download.com and use that to burn your Linux dsik. I assume you are using Windoze.
