I believe there is a more or less generic 'Linux Bible' comes with CD and
DVD including several distros. That might be a place to start. What,
exactly, are you interested in learing? There are online tutorials
dealing with the desktop, etc. - I believe one might be at iosn.net - you
can also gain good info at yolinux.com and tldp.org.
When I first started using Linux, I found that most of the books were
out-dated
by the time they were printed and available.
The best way to learn Linux is to simply install it and use it.
Refer to the man pages as needed and ask for help on Usenet.
In other words: If you have a question...just ask here.
