I have wasted 6 disks trying to create a Linux disk.
I have 4 different popular Linux versions iso files.
I assume you never read the manual, for those who know how to use a
search
engine there would have been this page:
http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm

As i said......It writes 10% and stops.

The computer and drive are functioning perfect. absolutely no faults with
them.

Assuming you are doing it right:

1. Your operating system gets locked up.

No it is not locked
Fully functional during the process.

2. The burnsafe is disabled and your hard drive isn't able to supply data
fast enough for the burner.

I write dozens of DVD disks per day

3. Your hard drive has bad blocks, so the file is broken when saved on
your hard drive.

Drive is new and perfect and all diagnostics and hard drive programs confirm

4. You have a quad AMD CPU and the motherboard don't have the BIOS fix
that will avoid triggering the bug in the CPU.

Not a quad machine

5. Your download software don't have checksum support, so it accept
corrupt data be downloaded.

I have tried 5 different linux systems
it cant be 5 defective ones

6. You have a virus that affects your operating system in a negative way.

nope
checked and tested daily

7. You have a buggy version of the burner program installed.

No
works perfect for everything else

I can say this ain't a Linux issue, I would suggest you contact the
manufacturer of your CD-burning software or try your luck at a microsoft
news group.

If none of the options suites you, then you have to order the CDs/DVD or
go to a friend who don't have the troubles you have on your computer.

Keep in mind a new system can have faults, just remember when Microsoft
released a version of Microsoft Windows with viruses and up to 10% of new
hardware can have faults.

I use Windozzzz XP pro not the new crap version
