Yes, I saw that post but he doesn't say where to find the drivers. I finally located this posting, which identifies where to find the drivers and how to install them:

Pleased to say that after loading the files from badongo.com and running dpkg-reconfigure, the sis driver and options turned up in the preferences menu. I now have 1280x800 with perfect rendition.
