For all puppians (puppy linux users)
On Dokupuppy
http://puppylover.netsons.org/dokupuppy/doku.php/programs:office_suite
is available version 2.4 of OpenOffice, latest official build released
Tips for install in Puppy Linux 3.01
http://puppylover.netsons.org/dokupuppy/doku.php/puppy_releases
(puppians users may already know these details):
- Once downloaded OpenOffice 2.4 you can
1 - add to file _301 so Puppy can identify this at boot and mounting
automatically (like: OpenOffice-2.4_301.sfs) put this in /home/ then reboot
2 - mount by hand in other directory with console command:
mount -o loop /pathtofileopenoffice,sfs /mnt/data/
in this latest case search then in /data/ directory of OpenOffice.org,
then subdirectory /program/ and clicking on scalc, simpress, swriter,
ecc... you can start applications (you can also create symlink on desktop)
