The time is coming that I will be buying a new laptop for personal use.
I will want to install Windows XP and Ubuntu.
Vista is crap.
And XP isn't? What planet do you live on?
I bought my wife a new (now old) Toshiba Satellite laptop that I am very
happy with. It has been reliable, sturdy better than my work IBM
levono computer (not a fair comparison as it gets far more use.)
I would not mind buying another Toshiba except for one thing, it has
steadfastly resisted any attempt to make it a dual boot Ubuntu machine.
Any recommendations out there?
Thanks Rob
Yes. Drop M$ operating systems from your life. I'm not going to help
anyone install one of those evil things on a computer. This is alt.linux,
or it is supposed to be.
And now I am going to look forward to learning just which of the
people who post here are actually M$ users because they lack the
skill to make Linux do what they want.
