This is the nonsense I am talking about from you. I happen to live
in
the command line 14+ hours a day, every day. It's ridiculous you
make such wild accusations about people that don't agree with your
views.

"Wild accusations"?

Yes.

Pointing out an obvious fact is a wild accusation?

It's seriously suspect. So what if my news reader doesn't putput a
user agent?

They all do. The people who create and maintain them are proud of
their work.

I use knode, and either it doesn't output it (which I, too, believe
it
does), or my ISP's news server strips it. It's hardly a reason to
accuse someone about "widl accusations" because of this.

Here's the headers from someone using the same server that you
do, and knode, from my newspool:

And you obviously know how to modify your headers because you
add this one:

Organization: BurlyHost.com, Inc.

KNode has an option to add headers. I was *not* aware of their default
option of not displaying it -- I can't imagine why they would do that,
so I've enabled it just so we can be "friends".

I repeat: You are lying.

How am I lying? I SAID I was using KDE and KNode.

You don't ordinarily want people to know that a supposed
professional uses a crutch like kde, so you remove the user-agent
string.

I think you're probably the _only_ person I've ever seen so belligerent
about such a trivial thing to actually believe that a professional that
uses Linux should _only_ ever use the command line and never a GUI. I
think it would be _unprofessional_ to have a web host not be able to
view a user's page with a graphics based browser, since their clients
all use graphics based browsers. You're actually probably the only
person that thinks someone would feel the need to hide the fact they
were using KDE. And, I said I _do_ use KDE before you even asked or
accused me of it, so exactly _what_ do you think I was trying to hide?

But now, because you are afraid that the newbies will listen to
me and actually learn linux,

I'm not "afraid" of anyone listening to you. Obviously your accusations
and paranoia are without merit or rationalization, but that's as far as
it goes -- you're just not that important. I'm more than happy for
anyone to learn Linux. The problem is, you insist they aren't
legitimately using Linux, unless they proclaim a graphical interface as
the devil. It's a bit silly. The irony here, is that I do almost
everything in the command line, but you're so wound up about the topic,
that you'd rather just accuse people of being unprofessional liars, and
all because they said they personally prefer a GUI for some things. No
one attacked you for not liking a GUI, why do you feel the need to
attack people for not agreeing with you? Oh right, because you're
nuts.

which would make them far less
vulnerable to commercial exploitation by people like you,

Commercial exploitation? Maybe "black helicopters", too? In exactly
what way am I profiting whatsoever from people using a GUI on their
computer? You're really being kooky here. What is the deal with you?
Are you just here for entertainment? Do you really believe the crazy
things you keep saying? I guess I can appreciate the humorous nature
of it.

you are all for it and want people to know that even a supposed
pro like you uses kde.

When did I say that? I said "who cares?" Why _do_ you care? I've
never once stated a single thing to deter or discourage anyone from
using the command line.

What a typical slimeball merchant you are.

Geez, no one can have a preference or use a graphical interface on their
system without being accused of being a "slimeball merchant"? You
think that's rational thinking on your part? How am I profiting at all
from people using a GUI on their system? I don't sell GUI's, I'm not
involved in the KDE or Gnome development. I mean, you are literally
saying that anyone who uses a GUI is part of some elaborate conspiracy,
and I think it's completely off the wall. At first I thought you were
just being sarcastic or joking, but unfortunately for you, I think you
really believe the crazy things you're saying.

And you even have the spam sig to prove it:

To prove I offer hosting? What does that have to do with it? I don't
have a GUI installed on the server, and I use the command line only.
Shouldn't that make you happy? Oh, of course not, because you're going
to troll either way.

Now you are calling me a troll.

Yes.

How typical.

Sure, I guess.

I feel sorry for anyone who does business with you.

Right, because you don't agree with me to the point where you'll make
wild accusations about what people do, why they do it or what they use,
to the point of making things up that aren't true, that gives you a
"good" reason to feel sorry for someone that does business with me?
Let's look at that from a logistical standpoint. What sort of web host
would absolutely _refuse_ to use a GUI or attack their clients that
did, for their _websites_. Honestly, what points do you really think
you're making? I think you're insane, and I truly and genuinely mean
that.
