Just a point of interest

I have noticed in reading some posts that some people install Linux then
WINE then many Windows applications.

If these people are going to use all these Windows applications then why
do they install the Linux OS, why not just use the Windows OS. Thanks

There are a few applications which have no equivalent available for
Linux. A perfect example is chairgun - an application for trajectory
analysis used by many airgunners. I'm heavy into airgun Field Target
myself, and it is an invaluable tool. I'll be damned if I'm going to
throw away my Linux machines simply to be able to run chairgun. In my
case, that is the ONLY MS app that I need.
