Actually, this thread is about, running an applet at the site,

http://www.instantchess.com

Try it in your system and see if it works. I already filed a bug report
at Sun website but I doubt it's a bug coz the previous poster has gotten
it to work. And coz of the variable width fonts in the applet, that Java
linux version not able to display, I guess. Anyway...

I have the same, came with the Stock.

Hmm..not sure it's related here, coz the applet seems to load correctly
and even operate correctly, it's just the display that isn't right.

I don't think there was any update to gcc that came with the RH9.

Sun has a newer Java - JRE 1.4.2. But in this case both Java's exhibit
the same problem.
