apt (or apt4rpm) is an RPM manager alternative from the fine Debian
folks!! It's like the up2date service and an RPM dependency-hell problem
resolver rolled into one application. Instead of downloading an RPM
package and finding out you need to download some additional package(s)
which required even more packages you simply request the package to be
installed.
Example command; apt-get install xine
Downloads and Installs xine along with all the dependency RPM's.
