Can you ping and/or traceroute to your NNTP newsgroup server? If you
cannot, the LinkSys router is probably not the problem. For example, if
the DNS name of the NNTP server is 'news.myisp.net', try the following:
[you]$ ping -c 10 news.myisp.net
[you]$ /usr/sbin/traceroute -I news.myisp.net
Also, have you contacted your ISP about this problem? FWIW, I had no
Usenet access for about 3 days last week, so the problem may be with
your ISP (or the Usenet service that your ISP uses) and not with your
hardware.
