Redhat 8.0
Linux 2.4.20-20.8
Ximian Evolution 1.4.3
Linux newbe here, coming out of lurk mode.
I see where Redhat has made available new gtkhtml packages, which the
email notice says are used by Evolution. I have updated my system from the
version of Evolution that it came with to version 1.4.3. I am thinking that
this advisory may not apply to me, since I have a version of Evolution
that is more recent then that which is available thru Redhat.
The rpm command shows the following:
$ rpm -qa | grep -i gtkhtml
gtkhtml2-2.0.1-2
gnome-python2-gtkhtml2-1.99.11-8
gtkhtml-devel-1.0.4-3
gtkhtml3.0-3.0.7-0.ximian.5.1
gtkhtml-1.0.4-3
gtkhtml2-devel-2.0.1-2
libgtkhtml3.0_2-3.0.7-0.ximian.5.1
Does gtkhtml2 supercede gtkhtml? Can I, in fact, remove gtkhtml-1.0.4-3 and
gtkhtml-devel-1.0.4-3 or are they required by something other than Evolution?
Any guidance/direction would be much appreciated.
TIA
