how to back up data from master HD (hda) to a slave HD (hdb) ?

Hello,

I am trying to back up data from a master HD (hda)
to a slave HD (hdb).
I could see there is a secondary HD (hdb), but I don't
know how to access the hdb and transfer data to it.
Would please give me a idea ?
