Interesting article about the 2.6 kernel and RedHat patches

They're saying another 18 months to get the new kernel into RedHat
Enterprise Linux (v4.0), while they plan to put it into Fedora ASAP.

What's most interesting is the part of the article that talks about
forking and RedHat patches.

Someone the other day said "but if you use a kernel from kernel.org you
lose RedHat patches". If you're concerned about that, then read the
article. Either way, it's pretty good.
