Need help getting logitech mouse to work in RedHt v7.3

Hi all,

 I posted earier, but did not remember the details, so I post again. I
have a logitech optical Mx310 mouse, and I am using Redhat v7.3... the
mouse has a wheel and i woud like to get that to work in Linux (the 3
buttons work fine though) currently it is using the PS2 protocol, I tried
to add the following to my XF86Config-4 file:

Option "buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

in the section of the mouse stuff, but the wheel still did not work after
I restarted the XServer (also treid to rstart linux, but that did not
help either) any suggestion would be mush appreciated.
