Best way to replace RH w/Debian

Now that RedHat has moved to its split distribution model, I'm considering
a switch to Debian. I realize this is probably the wrong group, but I
figured I'd ask anyway. Is there any painless way to replace RH 9 with
Debian without losing many of the non-standard packages, all the
configuration tweaks, and all the data I've got stored. (Yeah, I know I
can back up all the config information).

I don't have any beef with RH, but I'd sure like to be able to continue to
use the RHN without having to pay triple the fees I'm paying now once my
current subscription expires.
