All,

I'm trying to install acrobat reader to red hat linux 8.0 but am having
problems as a newbie. I've tried searching through the group archives, but
have only managed to make myself more confused. Here's what I've done so
far:

Downloaded linux-508.tar.gz from the adobe acrobat site to my home
directory.
made a directory for acrobat and moved tar.gz file there.
used the gnome gui to extract the files of the tar.gz.

here's where I'm getting lost.
after extracting the tar.gz, I have a folder with various files, including
LINUXRDR.TAR
I used tar -xvf LINUXRDR.TAR to extract the tar file.

.....

now what?!

pls reply in group.

Thanks in advance.
