I have a problem trying to configure internet connection in redhat
linux 9. I use a cable/dsl router. This works fine in winxp machine
with dhcp configuration. I tried everything as explained on the
documentation. Here are the information from windows ipconfig
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : austin.rr.com
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.100
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
My network card is Netgear EA101, that connects through USB. I don't
think that its the problem with my network card because I can ping to
other computers connected to my dsl/cable router. I have configured
internet connections for redhat 7 successfully for T1 connections and
there used to be no problem at all. But this cable/dsl router
configuration is killing my time. please help me to configure this
simple network connection.
