Hi,
I just installed Fedora 1 on my Toshiba satelite pro 6100 dualboot with
grub, and I can say it went effortless. there are only a few things that are
not working properly yet. most notably: after the screensaverthingy (black
screen, that appears when I don't touch any keys for a while, the actual
screensaver is turned off) the desktop appears shifted up about one third of
the screen, and slightly bigger than life (going off the screen to the
right). This means that the statusbar appears not at the bottom, but at
onethird of the screen, and any windows opened move up by onethird
continuing at the bottom when they go over the top (so what is normally top
of the screen, now is just below the desktop statusbar). The pointer is not
affected, and I still need to point where the item would normally be. The
problem appears not allways, just sometimes, and under both the KDE and
gnome desktop. I have been looking throug known bugs and installation
manuals, but I haven't seen this problem appear anywhere, so I think it is
just a configurationsetting I've got wrong. Does anyone have an idea what
could cause this? If you do, please let me know.
Kind regards,
Romeo
