installing a netcomm modem????

I,m a linux virgin so please forgive me for my dumb requests!!
Could someone tell me how to install a netcomm modem with redhat 9. I have a
in5699 V.92 internal modem & redhat hasnt found it at all.
If this modem isnt supported could you give me some info on web lists etc
where I can get some more info.
