I've been finding Yahoo difficult to log onto the last few days, but
ICQ, Jabber and MSN are all logging in quite quickly (same as usual).
Are you sure that you've got your details entered correctly? Some of
the protocols require you to specify an entire address as your
"screenname" (your account), such as username@hotmail, others require
just the username and you enter the service address in a different area
(like for Jabber).
Other than that, what about your firewall settings? Are you allowing it
to connect?

"Rip off"? Unless that's a different client than what I'm thinking of,
it's free.
