Speed+Duplex HELP

Hi

how do you set the speed and duplex on a network interface in linux ??? i
have tried to use th mii-tool command but apparently my network cards do not
support it ?? The machine is a new dell2650 with a built in intel card .....
I cant have a server come up at 10 half that just aint fast enough...
