Text turns blue

    How can I get my text back to white? I'm running in text mode and
    occasionaly the text will turn blue (displaying a binary or other).
    If I logout then back on, still the text is blue on black. (I'm
    guessing some kind of escape codes cp'ed to the screen will fix it.)
