i'm using Fedora (redhat's new production) mostly because i cant get
anything else at all to work. for some reason, most linux distrobutions
simply dont like my computer. i think it's the motherboard (dell OEM
mobo). anyway, so i installed fedora, it's working great, except that i
would like to run it in a dual head arrangement (i have 2 monitors..)
but it doesnt A: want to accept a spanning desktop, and B: on my primary
monitor (the one on the VGA port on my vid card) it doesnt show the
whole desktop at once. it shows about 40 % of it.. and when i move the
mouse around, it scrolls over the rest of the desktop. i dont understand
why it isnt working.

Oh, also. i have a logitech MX-700 mouse... i was wondering how to get
the rest of the 7 buttons on it working like they should. and i also
have some multimedia buttons on my keyboard. volume controls, play,
pause, etc.. + mail, my computer, and calculator. i dont care about the
internet buttons, cause i never use em. but i want to use those
buttons.. cause i use them all the time.

any ideas?

(the reason other linux distros werent working is that somewhere thru
the install process it would no longer accept keyboard input. it's a ps2
keyboard, so that cant be the problem. also, i've used this keyboard
with a k7s5a pro mobo and had no problem with redhat 9 and 7.2
