Hi guys. Thanks for the replies.
Mark, the answer to your question is yes, and Lenard, it would seem
that I didn't connect my cdrom to the motherboard, but I did.
There are two places to do this: one spot was labeled cd1_in
(4-prong) & the other is cd2_in (3-prong). I've tried both
places, but neither seem to be working for me. Either way, I'm
going to give your suggestion a shot. I take it that this *.rpm will
make it possible for me to play audio cds without having that cable
connected. Even so, that still doesn't tell me why sndconfig
isn't working. I'll keep poking around.
