Hello,
I have a small network at home with a Linux RH7.1 machine and XP home ed.
laptop. The network is setup with a D-link router which connects tothe
internet via a cable modem. I want to give my family access to the
Linux machine via ftp and http. I managed to setup the router to allow
request from ports 21 & 80. FTP with a user logon works properly (albeit
that the logon is slow) from remote locations, but Apache webserver does
not.
The odd thing is that the webserver shows pages on its local 192.168.x.x
address and via my assigned ISP IP address when I make a request from my XP
system. What do I need to change in the webserver that it serves people
remotely?
Thanks for your help
