I have just installed Redhat 8.0 on a machine at home, which sites on my
home network, behind a d-link 624+ router. It is fully updated via the
up2date tool, including the latest kernel (2.4.20-28.8).

I mainly connect to the machine via PuTTY on my Windows XP box, as I intent
to use the Linux server as a Web/FTP server.

Anyway, around 20-30 mins after bootup I find that the network connation is
dropped for no apparent reason. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks,

 Tom
