Hello,

I thought there was some posts about this but a search for
'cdrom' and 'mount' didn't lead me to any usable
posts.

The problem is this. My CDROM stopped working since I installed rh9.
The cdrom worked in Win98 and it worked flawlessly during the install
process off the CDs.

I've read that this may require a kernel recompile. I've also
read that I just need to change my fstab. mount /dev/cdrom just
stalls the CDROM and it becomes unusable.

The CDROM won't automount in gnome.

Can anyone point a would be linux convert in the right direction.
Willing to read long docs to get this to work. Just can't find
the right docs.
