I know what you mean, I tried Mandrake 8 & 9 since 2000 trying to be
free of Windows. But with 90% of the world's computers running some
form of Windows you have to stick with what is the Industry Standard.
Reaching a fork in the road and taking the road less travelled will
leave you lost and starving in the woods in the world of computer
technology. When the IMACS came out I looked at a Grape one but again,
it would have taken a long time to re-learn the MAC OS which is only
used mostly by Graphic Artists, so I moved on to Win XP when it came
out.
