Very simple question

I am just starting out, as this question undoubtedly will show.

I installed the latest version of Redhat, and it doesn't recognize my Intel
M1000 pro Ethernet card.

I've downloaded a linux driver for it, but how do I install it? Do I just
mount it, or is there more to it?

Thanks very much in advance,
Andy
